Why We're Here

It is our belief that the Jewish People are God's chosen people and that Israel is their land, and that it is the responsibility of all Christians to support Israel. This does not mean that we are politically behind their actions, just as we are not behind all of America's pollitical actions. We do believe that when God makes a promise, He keeps it!

Genisis chapter 12:1-3 God tells Abraham...
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

This "great nation" God gave Abraham was Israel! The map below shows Israel and her neighbors at the time of the Amorite invasion (2000 B.C.).

Right around the turn of the second millennium B.C. the Amorites came and swallowed up every kingdom and city in the Middle East that they attacked. They built new cities on the mounds of the destroyed kingdoms which later became the Canaanite cities of the Bible. They spoke a west-Semitic dialect and were called the Amurru (people of the west) by the Akkadian peoples of Mesopotamia. The story of Sinuhe describes the land of Canaan identical to the Promised Land of the Bible (Israel).

Genisis 17:2 says "And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly." This was another of many promises the Lord made to Abraham.

    Verses 6-8 say...
6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

All of the land of Canaan! The map above shows that all of the land of Canaan is Israel! When God makes a covenant or promise, He keeps it!
